Our Story

Founded in 1999, by third generation acoustical carpenter Christopher G. Chaney, CG Chaney Company, Inc. opened it’s doors. Based on the belief, that in order to have the ability to supply our customers with the quality and service they expect and deserve, it would be necessary to provide our employees a more communicative and helpful work environment. With this concept in mind, CG Chaney Company, Inc. has been able to bring together a dedicated team of professionals that understands their value, both as individuals and collectively. Our team is committed to providing our customers with the highest levels of service through continual communication, education, integrity and safety. Combined with over 100 years of acoustical industry experience, CG Chaney Company, Inc. is proud to be one of the leading Acoustical Contractors in the Southern and Central California areas.

With over 38 years of acoustical experience, Mr. Chaney started his acoustical training back in 1987. During the first few years he became a skilled installer and a leading Foreman. In 1994 Chris was able to transition from the field into a management position. Over the next five years Chris extended his knowledge base to include customer service, estimation, sales negotiation, product procurement and project management. Ultimately, Chris founded the CG Chaney Company Inc. in 1999 and has enjoyed watching his company’s success over the last 25 years.

After one year as an acoustical apprentice, Trevor joined the CG Chaney Company, Inc. team in 2000. Trevor completed his apprenticeship in 2003, continued as a leading acoustical journeyman, and became one of our best Foreman. After almost 10 years in the field, with an expansive knowledge all things acoustical, Trevor became our newest estimator in 2009. Over the next twelve years, with his commitment and dedication to customer service, Trevor has continued to grow and hone his skills as one our highly experienced estimators/Project Managers.

Starting his career as a field apprentice in 1991, John spent 21 years steadily advancing through the ranks to become a top foreman and leading superintend. He joined C.G. Chaney in 2012 and has taken on the crucial role of superintendent, where he continues to lead with expertise and dedication.
